Mobile App Privacy Addendum

Effective Date: June 24, 2025
This addendum supplements the reThought Flood®, a trademark of reThought Insurance Corporation Privacy Policy (/rethought-privacy-policy/) and applies specifically to users of the reThought Mobile application on iOS platforms.
By using our mobile app, you agree to the data practices described herein, in addition to those in our main Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Addendum
This Mobile Privacy Addendum describes how reThought Flood® (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information through our mobile applications available via the Apple App Store.
2. Additional Data Collected via Mobile App
a. Device Information
We may collect technical information about your mobile device, including:
– Device model and operating system (e.g., iPhone, iOS)
– Unique device identifiers (e.g., UUID)
– Mobile carrier (if applicable)
This information helps us maintain app functionality and ensure security.
b. Geolocation
With your explicit consent, the mobile application may access your device’s precise geolocation data to facilitate core functionality, including identification of the property location and determining the directional perspective (e.g., side of the building) from which images are captured. This geolocation data is accessed only while the app is in active use and is not stored or retained beyond the scope necessary to fulfill user initiated service functions, such as submitting photographic documentation for underwriting or analysis purposes.
You may revoke location permissions at any time through your device’s settings.
c. Push Notifications
If enabled, we may send push notifications to deliver updates, reminders, or alerts relevant to your account or app usage. You can opt out of receiving these at any time via your mobile device’s notification settings.
d. App Permissions
Depending on your use of the app, we may request access to:
– Location (as described above)
– Camera (e.g., to upload documentation if that feature is enabled)
– Microphone (not actively used by the app, but may be requested by the operating system as a prerequisite for enabling camera access on certain devices or OS versions. The app does not record or process audio input.)
– Network access (for online data transfer)
We do not request access to:
– Contacts
– Installed applications
– Call logs or text messages
3. Platform-Specific Disclosures
We comply with all platform-specific privacy requirements:
Apple App Store (iOS)
We disclose data collection and usage in accordance with Apple’s App Privacy Details framework. You may review this information on the reThought app’s listing in the Apple App Store.
4. No Third-Party SDKs
Our mobile app does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or social media SDKs. All data is collected and used solely by reThought for the purpose of providing our insurance and risk analysis services.
5. Your Choices
You may:
– Disable location tracking via device settings
-Modify or revoke permissions (camera, notifications, etc.) through your mobile OS
– Request data access or deletion under applicable privacy laws via info@rethoughtflood.com
